The City of Guelph is hosting a virtual open house to present plans for the Speedvale Avenue West infrastructure improvements project. This includes the construction of a new multi-use path and installation of underground water and sewer pipes on Speedvale Avenue West from Elmira Road North to Imperial Road North.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this open house will be hosted virtually. Documents will be posted on the project website on October 25 at:
From Monday, October 25 to Friday, November 12, 2021 at 4 p.m., comments and questions will be received and answered on haveyoursay.guelph.ca. Our team members are also available by email or phone from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday if you prefer to contact us directly.

This is your opportunity to review construction plans, including maps and schedules, and to ask questions about the project including traffic impacts and property access.
About the project
Speedvale Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Elmira Road North to Imperial Road North. Some short-term road closures and controlled access to businesses can also be expected during the project.
Construction includes the installation of new storm sewer and water pipes, new multi-use path, curb and gutter and final repaving.
Construction is expected to begin in spring 2022 and be completed by fall 2022.
