About the project
Metrolinx is building an extension to the existing storm culvert near Howitt Creek to address erosion issues.
Work begins August 3
Work began on Tuesday, August 3 and is expected to take about three months to complete, weather permitting.
In the construction zone, pedestrian access will be restricted with fencing and signs. All pedestrians are asked to follow posted signs for safety.
As part of this work, Metrolinx will remove 34 trees. As compensation for those removals, 45 new trees and 75 new shrubs will be planted as per the City approved tree replacement plan.
