Construction notice: Arthur Street railway track work starting October 25

About the project

The City has started construction of phase 5 of the Arthur Street sanitary trunk sewer project. Work will take place on Arthur Street to Elizabeth Street, and includes the replacement of the underground sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main pipes. 

Work in this phase is being completed by Amico Infrastructure (Oxford) Inc.

Railway track work begins October 25

Railway track work is expected to begin on or about October 25, and take about three days to complete, weather permitting. Work will be completed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. It is anticipated that work activity throughout the weekend will be required for the railway crossing area.

Arthur Street closed

Arthur Street will be closed to through traffic during the project. Only local access will be permitted.

Pedestrian access

The sidewalks on Arthur Street are expected to remain open, however, pedestrians should follow posted signs for their safety.
