Guelph Transit survey contest rules and regulations

Contest conducted by The Corporation of the City of Guelph

  1. To enter this contest, complete the Guelph Transit Survey online or use the paper version provided to those without email access. If you require an accessible format, contact If you do not wish to participate in the voluntary survey, you may enter this contest by submitting contact information to or by mail to Guelph Transit, 170 Watson Road South, Guelph, ON N1L 1C1. No purchase necessary. 
  2. Every entrant must provide his/her first and last name, and/or an email address and/or telephone number/extension. The option of providing an email address/ telephone number is provided at the end of the survey for the sole purpose of contacting the winner of the prize. The information will not be used for any other purposes or means of contact outside of the survey. If an email address/telephone number is not provided the participant is opting out of being contacted if they are the winner, and will not be contacted to obtain the prize.
  3. In order to be eligible for this contest, entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
  4. Online and printed versions of entries must be received by October 4, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.
  5. Only one entry per person.
  6. The City may disqualify any entry that:
    1. Is incomplete, illegible, damaged or irregular;
    2. Was submitted by illicit means; or
    3. Does not conform with or satisfy these rules and regulations.
  7. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to abide by all these rules and regulations. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws, regulations and requirements.
  8. The City will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries or for any typographical, printing, production, distribution, advertising or other errors or omissions with respect to this contest. The City may terminate this contest at any time without notice.
  9. One prize is available to be won, consisting of a one month transit pass (approximate retail value $80). The prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable and non-redeemable for any cash value.
  10. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.
  11. The prize will be awarded by a random draw on October 7, 2019. The entrant whose entry is drawn must sign a waiver and release, provided by the City, in advance of, and as a condition of, receiving the prize, and must successfully answer a skill-testing question as a condition of receiving the prize. If the prize is not claimed within ten (10) business days after the draw, another random drawing will be made and another ten (10) business days will be allowed for that prize to be claimed.
  12. The City is collecting personal information about entrants for the purpose of administering this contest. No further information or marketing communications will be sent to an entrant as a result of entering this contest.
