Construction Notice: Paving at the City’s public waste drop-off site to begin early October

About the project

The City is paving internal roads at the Waste Resource Innovation Centre public waste drop-off site at 110 Dunlop Drive starting early October. Work will take approximately two months to complete, weather permitting.

Site access and detours

The site will remain open; however, gate access will vary to accommodate the paving process. Customers are asked to please follow the signs on site that will direct you to the correct gate for drop-off. Please also be cautious and alert when driving on site.

Customers should expect delays and plan extra time to get through the gates. Customers are encouraged to avoid peak days, such as Mondays and Saturdays, and avoid peak times during weekdays between 8:30 – 10 a.m. and 12 – 2 p.m.

Services affected

While the site will remain open, staff will need to close off access to the Household Hazardous Waste drop-off depot, along with the Paint+ Reuse and Bike Reuse programs, for approximately three days, dates to be determined. As soon as the closure dates become available, we will notify the public though the website, social media and the Guelph Waste app.
