New pedestrian signals on Gordon Street and Eramosa Road

Guelph, Ont., August 28, 2019 – New pedestrian signals have been turned on at two locations in Guelph.

Gordon Street north of Water Street

The City has built a new pedestrian signal on Gordon Street north of the bridge over the Speed River, about 140 metres north of the existing traffic signal at Water Street. Both of these signals are synchronized to reduce traffic delays in the area. This may cause a short delay for pedestrians waiting for the walk signal at either crossing.

Eramosa Road at John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute

The City has built a new pedestrian signal on Eramosa Road at John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute, between the existing Eramosa Road traffic signals at Stevenson Street and Meyer Drive. These three signals are synchronized to reduce traffic delays in the area. This may cause a short delay for pedestrians waiting for the walk signal at each of the crossings.
