2019 citizen satisfaction survey begins August 28

Guelph, Ont., August 28, 2019—The City of Guelph is all set to do a check-in with residents to see if the City is meeting citizen expectations on a number of fronts and to gather their feedback on issues the community will be facing.

Starting August 28, Ipsos Public Affairs will be conducting the comprehensive citizen satisfaction survey on behalf of the City. Residents will be asked a series of questions to determine how satisfied they are with their quality of life, City services and how the City communications with them.

In the 2017 survey, 88 per cent of Guelph residents expressed overall satisfaction with the delivery of services provided by the City, 97 per cent of Guelph residents rated the overall quality of life in the city as good or very good, and 94 per cent of Guelph residents were proud to say they were from Guelph.

Residents are also encouraged to fill out the same survey online at haveyoursay.guelph.ca August 28 through September 18.

Notice of collection

The City of Guelph is conducting a residential phone survey to measure:

  • citizen satisfaction with programs and services;
  • perceptions and expectations of customer service, communication and engagement; and
  • perceptions of quality of life.

Ipsos Public Affairs is conducting the survey and will be contacting 600 households within Guelph from August 13 to September 3, 2017.

Results of the survey will be used by City staff to understand citizen needs and expectations, and prioritize and implement improvements to service delivery.

Your participation is voluntary. All individual responses will be kept confidential and will be used for further program development and optimization only.

Personal information, as defined by Section 2 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (MFIPPA) is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, and in accordance with the provisions of the MFIPPA.
