At the parking lot entrance

About the project

Guelph Junction Railway is upgrading the railway crossing located at the entrance to the parking lot of the Guelph Youth Music Centre, and the pedestrian crossing at Norwich Street East.

Work begins August 13

Work is expected to start on or about August 13, and take about three days to complete, weather permitting.

South entrance to the Guelph Youth Music Centre closed

The south entrance to the Guelph Youth Music Centre will be closed. Please use the north entrance to access the centre.

Downtown Trail closed at Norwich Street East

The Downtown Trail will be closed at Norwich Street East. Please follow posted signs for safety. Trail users heading south should plan to leave the trail at Joseph Wolfond Park West and reconnect at Kimberley Park. Access to the bridge over Speed River to Norwich Street East will be maintained.

Driveway access and road parking will be maintained

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
