Construction notice: Wilson Street sidewalk closed weekdays starting July 2

Carden Street to Gordon Street

The City will be constructing phase 3 of the Wilson Street reconstruction and parkade project. This phase includes the reconstruction of the Wilson Street sidewalk.

Completion of this phase will conclude Wilson Street reconstruction and parkade project, resulting in the opening of both Wilson Street and the Market Parkade.

Work begins July 2

Work is expected to begin on or about July 2, and continue for approximately 13 weeks (through to mid-September), weather permitting.

Weekday sidewalk closure starting July 2

The sidewalk on Wilson Street will be closed weekdays (Monday to Friday) during the project. Pedestrian access is not permitted. Please use nearby sidewalks on Norfolk Street or Wyndham Street.

On weekends (Saturday and Sunday), a temporary gravel sidewalk along Wilson Street will be open and accessible to pedestrians. The temporary sidewalk will be 1.2 metres wide and wheelchair accessible.

Wilson Street remains closed

Wilson Street from Carden Street to Gordon Street will remain closed during the project.
