Construction notice: Water Street closed starting June 10

At Cedar Street

The City is working with Percon Construction Inc. to undertake private infrastructure work, on behalf of Dickinson & Hicks Architects Inc., to construct and install sewer and water pipes to a building on Water Street.

Road closed starting June 10

Construction is expected to begin on or about June 10, and take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting.

Water Street will be closed to through traffic during the project.

Pedestrian access

The north side of the sidewalk in front of 287 Water Street will be closed to pedestrians during construction. Please us the nearby crossing at Edinburgh Road South to use the south sidewalk.

Property and business access and parking

All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
