Construction notice: Eramosa Road lane reduction starting May 27

At Woolwich Street

Total Install will be working on behalf of Bell Canada to complete fibre optic splicing (underground cable repair) along Eramosa Road, just north of Woolwich Street.

Work begins May 27      

Work is expected to begin on or about May 27, and will take approximately three days to complete, weather permitting.

Lane reductions on Eramosa Road expected

The northbound lane of Eramosa Road will be reduced during construction and a lane shift will be set up around the repair area. Two way traffic will be maintained at all times.  Road users are asked to follow posted signage for their safety. A full road closure is not expected but road users may encounter minor delays. Cyclists will be required to merge with vehicular traffic. 

Pedestrian access

The sidewalks in this area will remain open and accessible during construction.

Property and business access and parking

All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
