Silvercreek Parkway to Paisley Road
The City of Guelph has started construction of the Paisley Feedermain from Silvercreek Parkway to Paisley Road. Work includes, but is not limited to, the installation of the watermain, site preparation, removals, road work, storm sewers and landscaping.
Work is being completed by Network Construction Ltd.
The Paisley Feedermain is needed to allow for future growth within Guelph. This phase of the project is approximately 1192 metres and includes construction of a 400mm diameter concrete pressure pipe watermain. While open cut construction will be used for the majority of the work, the portion that extends under the Hanlon Expressway (Highway 6) will be microtunnelled.
Construction is planned for April 2019 through January 2020, weather permitting.
Sidewalk and pedestrian access will be maintained during construction.
Property access and parking
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
