Construction notice: Fife Road closure starts May 6

About the project

The City is working with Civil-Link Inc. to undertake private infrastructure work, on behalf of the owner of 93 Fife Road, to install sewer and water services to the new home.

Construction begins May 6

Construction is expected to start on or about May 6 and will take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting.

Fife Road will be closed

Fife Road will be closed to through traffic at approximately 93 Fife Road throughout construction.

North sidewalk will be closed

The sidewalk on the north side of Fife Road will be temporarily closed throughout the project. The sidewalk on the south side will remain accessible to pedestrians at all times.

Property and business access and parking

All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

Guelph Transit

Guelph Transit route 9, 17 and 18 will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
