Construction notice: Paisley Road lane restrictions starting March 27

Update April 2:  Construction has been delayed and is now expected to be complete by April 10.

Alma Street to Edinburgh Road

Cable Control Systems will be working on behalf of the Rogers Communications to install underground cabling along Paisley Road.

Work begins March 27

Work is expected to begin on or about Wednesday, March 27 and will take approximately three days to complete, weather permitting.

Lane restrictions on Paisley Road expected

During construction, the contractor may have construction vehicles occupying parts of Paisley Road.  Cyclists will need to merge with vehicular traffic. Drivers and cyclists should follow all posted signs. Expect minor delays. A full road closure is not expected.

Pedestrian access

The sidewalks in this area will remain open and construction activity will be minimized during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times for children at neighbouring schools.

Property and business access and parking

All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
