Construction notice: Duke Street and Arthur Street repair work starts April 2  

Arthur Street Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project, stage 4

The City is working with Sousa Concrete to repair sewer and road services on Duke Street and Arthur Street as part of the Arthur Street Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project.

Work starts April 2

Work is expected to start on Duke Street on April 2 and will take two days to complete, weather permitting.

Work on Arthur Street is expected to start on April 4 and will take two days to complete, weather permitting. The work on Arthur Street will begin once the work on Duke Street has been completed.

Lane reductions and detours

Duke Street and Arthur Street will be closed to through traffic while construction is taking place on the street. Local access will be maintained for residents.

Pedestrian access

Sidewalks are expected to remain open during construction. If sidewalk access needs to be restricted, signage will be posted for pedestrian safety.

Property access

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways during construction working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
