Manor Park Crescent to Silvercreek Park
About the project
The City is about to begin rehabilitation of a 400 mm siphon under the Speed River west of Edinburgh Road South between Manor Park Crescent and Silvercreek Park and the sanitary sewer along Manor Park Crescent.
The existing sanitary siphon that extends under the Speed River west of Edinburgh Road South between Manor Park Crescent and Silvercreek Park is nearing the end of its life cycle. The required rehabilitation work will extend its life by another 50 years. As part of this work, storm and sanitary sewers on Manor Park Crescent will also be replaced.
Work in this project is being completed by Xterra construction.
Construction begins January 19
Construction is planned for January 19 to May 31, weather permitting.
Manor Park Crescent will be closed as of January 19. Local access will be maintained for residents throughout the project.
Sidewalks on the west side of Edinburgh Road South between Manor Park Crescent and Wellington Street West will be closed to pedestrians during construction.
Property access and parking
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
