UPDATE: Paving on Starwood Drive is temporarily delayed due to weather. Paving is expected to take place in two weeks.
Chesterton Lane to Lee Street
About the project
The City is working with Capital Paving Inc. to:
- Remove and repair concrete curbs,
- Adjust manholes, and
- Repave the road surface.
All work will take place on City property.
Road work begins September 17
Road work is expected to start on or about Monday September 17 and continue for approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
Starwood Drive will have lane reductions
There will be a lane reduction on Starwood Drive, however, two-way traffic will be maintained.
Pedestrian access will remain open
Sidewalks along Starwood Drive will be open throughout the project, however, pedestrians may be directed by signs to detour from their route.
The school crossing guard at the intersection of Starwood Drive and Lee Street will be relocated to Starwood Drive at Fleming Street and Keating Street starting on September 17 until October 12.
The crosswalk pavement markings will be painted and the traffic signs (including no stopping anytime) will be relocated as part of this work.
Driveway access will be maintained
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
