Construction notice: Gordon Street construction begins December 5

Update February 5, 2019: Construction will resume on site February 19 and is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting. Work began in December 2018; however, as a result of site delays, crews were not able to finish at that time.

About the project

Drexler Construction Limited is undertaking infrastructure work on behalf of Guelph Hydro to install new underground service to 1888 Gordon Street.

Construction begins December 5

Construction is expected to begin on or about December 5 and take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Lane reductions

There will be a lane reduction on Gordon Street; however, two-way traffic will be maintained.

Property access

All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
