Construction notice: Baker Street lot cable installation begins November 28

About the project

Crews will be installing underground cabling, which will provide internet support for the new parking equipment in 2019, in the Baker Street lot.

Contractors will be cutting the asphalt on the edge of the parking lot along Baker Street from the entrance to the corner at Chapel Lane. The asphalt will be cut along Chapel Lane from the corner to the second entrance.

Each day, there will be approximately twenty parking spaces blocked in the lot to facilitate the core cutting and installation.  These spaces will be clearly marked as unavailable.

Alternate parking is available in the Wyndham lot, directly adjacent to the Baker Street lot.

Construction schedule

Construction will begin on November 28 and take approximately five days, weather permitting.

Property and business access and parking

All businesses around the Baker Street parking lot will remain open and accessible throughout construction. Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private and public property and delays should be expected.

Hourly users and permit holders will have access to parking lot.

Pedestrian access

There are no restrictions to pedestrian access. Pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution in the construction area and follow signage and instructions to ensure their safety at all times.
