About the project
The City will repair two water valves in the area of Scottsdale Drive and College Avenue West. One valve is located on Scottsdale Drive just south of College Avenue. The second valve is located across from 215 College Avenue West.
Construction begins October 19
Repair work will begin tonight at 6 p.m. and will take approximately three hours to complete.
Water service disruptions
During this time water disruptions, including water shut off, possible discoloured water or low water pressure may be experienced by residents and businesses in the area. The City is notifying all impacted properties.
Lane reductions on Scottsdale Drive
Scottsdale Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic from College Avenue West to Wilsonview Avenue. Access for local traffic will be maintained as much as possible.
College Avenue will remain open for vehicular traffic and cyclists.
Sidewalks will remain open along College Avenue West and Scottsdale Drive.
Property and business access
All businesses and schools in the construction area remain open and accessible during construction.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (6 p.m.-9 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
Guelph Transit routes 8, 17, 18, 40 and 51 U will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.
