Construction notice: Water Street construction begins November 6

About the project

Drexler Construction Limited is undertaking private infrastructure work to install new water and sewer pipes to service the property at 160 Water Street.

Construction begins November 6

Construction is expected to begin on or about November 6 and take approximately one week, weather permitting.

Lane reductions on Water Street

There will be a lane reduction on Water Street, however, two-way traffic will be maintained.

Sidewalk on south side of Water Street will be closed

The sidewalk on the south side of Water Street will be temporarily closed at 160 Water Street throughout the project. Pedestrians should use the north side sidewalk between Maple Street and Forest Hill Drive for safe access.

Property access

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
