Canada Post mail service disruption

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has given strike notice to Canada Post. Rotating strikes can start as early as Monday, October 22, if an agreement is not reached. Legal rotating strikes will affect specific areas for a 24-hour period.

If Guelph is impacted by the legal rotating strikes, all mail services will be impacted.

We remind all residents and businesses to review alternative methods of making City payments to ensure your payments are still received on time.

The following are payment options:

Property taxes

Credit card

VISA™ or MasterCard™.  A convenience fee will be charged for each transaction.

Online banking

  • contact your financial institution for details

In person

Debit, cash or cheque

  • at most financial institutions
  • at City Hall, 1 Carden Street, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • after-hours drop slot is located west of the City Hall main entrance

Parking tickets
