Margaret Greene Park tennis court replacement starts August 7

Tennis players can use Norm Jary or Exhibition Parks during closure

Guelph, Ont., August 2, 2018 – The Margaret Greene tennis courts will be closed starting August 7 for replacement. The courts are expected to open by the end of October, weather permitting.

The new courts will include a new surface, nets, fencing, accessible path and lighting. Thirty-four trees will need to be removed to accommodate the new tennis courts and to improve safety and sightlines from the street; but new trees will be planted following the construction.

Anyone looking to continue playing tennis during the replacement work can use the tennis courts at Norm Jary Park or Exhibition Park. For a complete list of tennis courts, visit guelph.ca/tennis.
