Eramosa River Bridge to Stone Road
About the project
The City is working with Capital Paving Inc. to:
- Widen the bike lane and pave the shoulders, adding painted, buffered bike lanes,
- Adjust manholes, and
- Pave the road surface.
All work will take place on City property.
The bicycle lanes will connect the Eramosa River Bridge to the existing bike lanes on Victoria Road near Stone Road. A buffer will be added between motorized traffic and the bike lane, similar to bike lanes on Stone Road East.
This project is part of implementing the Cycling Master Plan.
Road work begins August 10
Road work is expected to start on or about August 10 and continue for approximately one week, weather permitting.
There will be a lane reduction on Victoria Road South, however, two-way traffic will be maintained.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
