About the project

The City is replacing and upgrading a major water main on Eramosa Road and Glenhill Place. The water main work has passed recent quality testing and will now be connected to the existing City of Guelph water network.

Water main work begins August 1

Construction will take approximately one evening, starting on August 1 at 6 p.m., weather permitting. Further paving of the site has yet to be determined.

Lane reductions and detours

Metcalfe Street will be closed west of Eramosa Road towards Pleasant Road for approximately 50 minutes. Driveways on Metcalfe Street will be accessible from Pleasant Road.

Pedestrian access

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction.

Property and business access

All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
