Construction notice: Wilson Street sidewalk repairs start July 31

About the project

The City is working to repair the retaining wall and bridge abutment on Wilson Street that had  loose concrete falling on to the sidewalk.

Retaining wall repairs will start on July 31

For safety reasons, the sidewalk on Wilson Street from Carden Street to Gordon Street will be closed for repairs and will reopen on or about August 3, weather permitting.

Pedestrian access

During the repairs, pedestrian access is not permitted. Pedestrians should go around the closure using Norfolk Street or Wyndham Street.

Guelph Farmers’ Market

The Guelph Farmers’ Market is offering a free shuttle service for market customers to get to and from downtown parking lots starting July 28 from 8 a.m. to noon.
