Construction notice: Memorial Crescent construction begins July 31

Memorial Crescent at Goldie Avenue

About the project

The City is working with Groundhog Excavating Ltd. to undertake private infrastructure work on behalf of the owner of 58 Memorial Crescent to construct and install sewer and water services to the new home.

Construction starts July 31

Construction is expected to begin on or about July 31 and take approximately one week, weather permitting.

Road remains opened to through traffic

Memorial Crescent will have a temporary lane reduction, but will remain open to through traffic at all times.

Sidewalk closed on the west side of Memorial Crescent

The sidewalk on the west side of Memorial Crescent will be temporarily closed throughout the project. The sidewalk on the east side of Memorial Crescent and the sidewalk on the south side, adjacent to the park, will remain open and accessible.

Property access

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
