Construction notice: Eramosa Road closed for construction starting July 9

Speedvale Avenue East to Brant Avenue

About the project

Kieswetter Excavating will be making water main and sewer connections to the City’s infrastructure as part of the Nima Trails Development.

Construction on Eramosa Road begins July 9

Work is expected to begin on Monday, July 9 and be completed by August 4, weather permitting.

Traffic on Eramosa Road will be detoured

During construction, traffic will be detoured via Speedvale Avenue East and Watson Parkway North.  Detour and information signs will be posted.

Pedestrian access will be closed at Brant Avenue and Speedvale Avenue East

The City sidewalk will be closed at the intersection of Brant Avenue and Speedvale Avenue East.

Property and business access and parking

All businesses in the construction area remain open throughout construction.

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Guelph Transit and Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
