City honours the late Marg MacKinnon with room dedication

Guelph, Ont., July 4, 2018 – Join us for a commemorative plaque unveiling as we rename City Hall’s Room 112 in honour of the late Marg MacKinnon.

Marg MacKinnon was Guelph’s second female councillor, serving from 1973 to 1986. MacKinnon was influential in the establishment of the Guelph Arts Council in 1975 and served as chair of the Citizens’ Committee for the development of River Run Centre. As a mentor, she encouraged young and recently arrived Guelphites to get involved in civic life.
