The City of Guelph and the municipalities from the Region of Waterloo are working together to form a Municipal Elections Compliance Audit Committee (MECAC) to review candidate or registered third-party2018 election campaign finances.
Up to 10 individuals, from all applications submitted, will be placed into a pool. When a municipality receives a request for an election finance compliance audit, that city will call upon individuals from the pool to form a committee.
Committee members will need to commit to a four-year term through to November 2020. Individuals, who have financial, accounting or legal expertise, and knowledge of the municipal election process, are invited to apply.
Applications must be submitted to the Office of the Regional Clerk for the Region of Waterloo by July 13, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
