Free summer events in Market Square

Guelph, Ont., June 19, 2018 – We’ve got great events in Market Square this summer from July 6 to August 24 — all for free!

Movies in the Square

Movies in the Square take place on Wilson Street and at Exhibition Park to free up parking on Carden Street. Movie nights start at 9 p.m. on Fridays. This year we’re showing:

  • July 6 – The Lego Movie (on Wilson Street)
  • July 20 – Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (on Wilson Street)
  • August 10 – Ratatouille (on Wilson Street)
  • August 24 – Finding Nemo (in Exhibition Park)

On rainy days, the movies shown on Wilson Street will move inside City Hall, but the movie at Exhibition Park will be cancelled.

John Galt Day

On Saturday, August 4, the community gathers to celebrate Guelph’s founding on John Galt Day. Enjoy entertainment, face painting, children’s activities, and water play in front of City Hall from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Market Square water feature

The Market Square water feature is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. including event days. Unexpected closures will be listed at guelph.ca/marketsquare.

Carden Street will remain open during all events.
