Applewood Crescent to Edinburgh Road North
The City is working with Capital Paving Inc. to:
- Remove and repair concrete curbs,
- Raise manholes, and
- Repave the road surface.
All work will take place on City property.
Willow Road is an arterial roadway as per the Official Plan. It will be repainted with two vehicle lanes (one in each direction), a centre turning lane, and on-road bike lanes. The addition of on-road bike lanes is consistent with the Council-approved Bicycle Policy (2009) and the Cycling Master Plan (2013). For more information on the Cycling Master Plan, please visit guelph.ca/bike.
Road work begins July 9
Road work is expected to start on or about July 9 and continue for about four weeks, weather permitting.
Lanes will be reduced during construction
There will be a lane reduction with two-way traffic maintained.
Property and business access
All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
Guelph Transit route 11 and 20 may be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.
The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
