Construction notice: Traffic signals replacement at Woolwich and Powell Streets start July 1

About the project

The City is working with TM3 Inc. Electrical Contractors to undertake infrastructure work on behalf of the City of Guelph.

The contractor will be closing the east and west approaches on Powell Street at the Woolwich Street intersection to all traffic to remove the traffic signal equipment. The contractor will then install new traffic signals.

Traffic signal replacement stars July 1

Traffic signal replacement will start at or around July 1, 2018, and is scheduled to last four to five weeks, weather permitting.

Lane reductions and detours

Vehicle and bicycle traffic will not be permitted at the Powell Street entrances of the intersection. Traffic will continue to have access on Woolwich Street throughout construction.

Pedestrian access

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the duration of the project.
