New trees to be planted as part of park master plan
Guelph, Ont., April 5, 2018 – The City of Guelph is working with Full Circle Tree Care to remove 2 trees and 12 saplings at Mico Valeriote Park on Friday, April 6. The removal of these trees, and the planting of 14 new trees, is part of the park’s new master plan.
The majority of the trees in the park will remain; however, the removed trees will accommodate the park’s new features including new open space, a large playground, a water play pump and natural areas with seating and pathways.
Construction of the new playground is scheduled to begin in summer and be completed by the end of 2018.
