Trail and parking lot are closed until June 1
The City of Guelph continues construction on the Silvercreek Trail extension in Silvercreek Park, located at 142 Edinburgh Street South.
The remaining work includes:
- Continuing the construction a three-metre wide asphalt trail
- Topcoat of asphalt
- Finalizing parking facility
- Landscape work including sodding and seeding
Park users are not permitted inside the construction fencing that marks the active construction zone. Once the fencing is removed, the entire park space will be accessible to the public.
Construction is expected to be complete by June 1, weather permitting.
The skatepark will be closed on May 1 for one day, weather permitting. Temporary closures of the skatepark may be required intermittently throughout May. Visitors can check the Silvercreek Skatepark webpage for closures.
Parking for the skatepark is located in Silvercreek Park on the east side of Edinburgh Road South.
