Guelph City Council will hold a public meeting in accordance with the Planning Act to consider the following planning and development application. The meeting will take place:

About the planning application

75 Dublin Street North (City File: OP1706)—Ward 3

The subject site is 0.15 hectares in size and is located at the north-east corner of Cork Street West and Dublin Street North. An Official Plan Amendment is proposed to permit the development of a five storey apartment building where four storeys is the maximum permitted height.

The site was subject to a City-initiated Official Plan Amendment in 2016 that was refused by Council, as well as a site-specific zoning amendment that implemented the Downtown Secondary Plan that was approved by Council in 2016. Both of these amendments were appealed and are currently at the Ontario Municipal Board awaiting further direction.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Guelph City Council before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body:

• is not entitled to appeal the decision of Guelph City Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; or
• may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
