The three-year renovation and expansion of Guelph Police Service’s headquarters is underway. Here is a summary of the work completed in February 2018.

Progress to date
East wing addition
- Aluminum caps on glass frames are installed
- Drywall framing/board and taping is almost complete
- Roof above firing range almost complete
- Paint and wall finish is 20 per cent complete
- Ceramic floor tile installation is 20 per cent complete
- Started installation on mechanical and electrical fixtures, and trims
West wing addition
- Third and fourth floor framing for curtainwall (non-structural outer covering of a building for weather protection) is 30 per cent complete
- Detention cell is nearly complete
Looking ahead to March
East wing addition
- Final installation of the roof top HVAC unit
- Continue finishes on walls and floors
- Install doors and hardware
- Install new generators
West wing addition
- Install last section of new detention cells
- Start southwest steel framing
- Start roofing membrane
- Continue curtainwall (non-structural outer covering of a building for weather protection) framing
