Victoria Road South at DeCorso Drive
Notice date: February 2, 2018
About the project
Kieswetter Excavating will be constructing a retaining wall along Victoria Road South at DeCorso Drive as part of a residential development. Construction activity will only affect traffic heading southbound.
Work begins February 5
Work is expected to begin on Monday, February 5 and will take about four weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Two-way traffic on Victoria Road South to be maintained
Two-way traffic will be maintained on Victoria Road South in the vicinity of 1159 Victoria Street South; however, temporary lane reductions will be necessary. During these times, cyclists will merge with traffic on Victoria Road South in order to navigate the site.
There are no sidewalks in the construction zone along Victoria; however, the Contractor will help pedestrians to safely cross the site when necessary.
Property and business access and parking
All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Guelph Transit and waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
