Construction notice: Malcolm Road closed for construction starting November 27

Between Elmira Road North and Michener Road

UPDATE: Construction has been delayed by one day due to weather conditions. The road is anticipated to open the following day, December 14.

The City is working with Goetz Construction to do infrastructure work on Malcolm Road on behalf of a private business. Goetz Construction will be installing a water pipe to service the property at 60 Malcolm Road.

Construction begins November 27

Malcolm Road will be closed

Malcolm Road will be closed to through traffic at 60 Malcolm Road for approximately two days at the beginning of the project, and approximately two days at the end of the project.

Property and access

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

Waste collection

Waste collection will not be affected by construction. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.

Guelph Transit

Guelph Transit bus route 20 will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.
