Open house: Draft Built Form Standards for Mid-rise Buildings and Townhouses

We’re creating built form standards for mid-rise buildings and townhouses to promote design excellence across the city. When complete, the document will provide City staff, landowners, developers and the public with clear tools for reviewing development proposals on private land, based on the policy direction established in the City’s Official Plan.

The draft Built Form Standards document addresses topics such as:

  • Parking;
  • Common amenity areas;
  • Landscaped open space and buffer strips;
  • Tree planting;
  • Building massing, setbacks and transition to surrounding area;
  • Ground floor and street edge design; and,
  • Facade design and materials.

Join us for a public open house to review project materials, meet the project team, ask questions or provide comments.
