UPDATE Construction notice: Neeve Street and Cross Street sewer and road construction

A map showing construction on Neeve and Cross Streets.The City is working with Drexler Construction Limited to upgrade underground water and sewer pipes on Neeve Street from Howitt Street to the bridge over the Speed River, and on Cross Street from Neeve Street to Arthur Street. This work is part of the Arthur Street sanitary trunk sewer project and includes the installation of sanitary and storm  sewer pipes, water pipes, curb and gutter, sidewalks and on–street parking.

Construction starts November 30

Construction is expected to start on or about November 30 and be completed by the end of May 2018, weather permitting.

Street closures and detours

Starting November 30, Cross Street will be closed for the remainder of construction. Neeve Street, Ontario Street and Howitt Street are now open.

Property access and parking

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
