The three year renovation and expansion of Guelph Police Service’s headquarters is underway. Here is a summary of the work completed in September 2017.
Progress to date
West wing addition
- Roof slab poured
- Concrete slab flooring 60 per cent complete
- Steel wall framing almost finished on third level administration space, mechanical and electrical installation underway
- Fourth floor mechanical room wall installed
- Southeast stairway foundation and second level walls poured
- Southeast corner excavated and footings poured
East wing addition
- Exterior stud wall and board installed on community room
- Masonry walls of public washroom 75 per cent complete with mechanical and electrical rough-in
- North east corner stairs poured. Opening for new exit created.
- Underground site service installed
Looking ahead
West wing addition
- Final concrete pour for elevator and staircase
- Remove crane tower, infill openings
- Finish concrete walls for stairs
- Complete southeast corner foundation
- Exterior masonry work to begin
- Ongoing mechanical and electrical installation on third and fourth floors
East wing addition
- Install aluminum framing for glass curtain wall of community room
- Start roofing
- Complete site services on southwest corner
- Finish generator steel work
