Notice: Noise Control Bylaw Exemption

July 26, 2017

Under the City of Guelph’s Delegation By-law (2013)—19529, the City has granted the Italian Canadian Club (135 Ferguson Street) an exemption from the City’s Noise Control Bylaw. Specifically, the applicant has been granted an exemption to allow for crowd noise (yelling, shouting or the like), amplified sound from music tent and generator noise to occur September 15 from 5 to 11 p.m., September 16 from 4 to 11 p.m. and September 17 from noon to 7 p.m. in order to facilitate Festival Italiano.

Any person who has reason to believe that they will be negatively impacted by the approval of this exemption from the Noise Control Bylaw may request that the decision to approve be reviewed by Guelph City Council. Any such request must be made by contacting the City Clerk’s office by emailing clerks@guelph.ca or by calling 519-822-1260 x 5603 no later than August 10.

Any other questions or concerns regarding this exemption should be forwarded to the Bylaw Compliance, Security and Licensing department.
