Guelph police headquarters: June 2017 construction update

Guelph Police Service headquarters renovation as of June 28, 2017.

The three year renovation and expansion of Guelph Police Service’s headquarters is underway. Here is a summary of the work completed in June 2017.

Progress to date

  • Pouring concrete for fourth floor of west wing
  • Remove roof from firing range to install steel structure for generator
  • Masonry work in detention area and offices almost complete, electrical in progress
  • East wing structural steel nearly complete, exterior stud cladding underway
  • Demolition of men’s locker room walls and gym
  • Preparing to pour concrete floor for new locker room

Looking ahead

  • Finish pouring concrete slab for third floor of west wing
  • Install steel framing for new generator
  • Install generator duct bank feeders
  • Place radon mitigation lines and pour concrete floor in men’s locker room and east public entrance
  • Frame exterior cladding and stud framing
