Guelph police headquarters’ east wing addition takes shape

The new east wing addition’s foundation is in place and the Guelph Police Service headquarters building’s former east side exterior wall has been demolished.

The three year renovation and expansion of Guelph Police Service’s headquarters is underway. Here is a summary of the work completed from January to April 2017.

Progress to date

  • East wing foundation complete
  • West wing foundation 90% complete
  • Concrete slab poured for west wing parking garage
  • Columns for third level of west wing being poured
  • IT rooms built on second and third floor
  • Heating boilers and cooling tower installed
  • Second floor outside wall for east wing demolished

Looking ahead

  • Finish parking garage slabs and floor decks for third and fourth level administration
  • Construct structure and roof over firing range
  • Install generator diesel fuel system
  • Pour concrete floor for east wing addition
  • Install steel framing on east wing
  • Exterior cladding and roof of east wing
