Have your say on the Cedarvale Avenue Park Master Plan

The City of Guelph is developing a park master for Cedarvale Avenue Park, located at 32 Cedarvale Avenue in the city’s east end.

To create this park plan, we need your help!

The park master planning process is an opportunity for residents to share ideas and assist the City in creating a master plan that reflects the community’s outdoor recreational needs and aspirations.

What we’ve heard so far

Phase 1 of the community engagement is now closed. Thank you to residents who participated in reviewing the two concept designs and voting on playground components for the neighbourhood park.

In late 2017, residents provided comments and voted on two park concept plans. More residents voted for Concept B: Natural Slopes. As a result, the preferred concept plan is based on that concept. Resident input was used to refine the concept plan and will also be considered in the selection of park equipment once the master plan is finalized.

Have your say now!

From January 29 to February 11, residents can review and comment on the preferred park concept design.

Join the online conversation or view the Cedarvale Park Avenue preferred concept design and provide input by calling 519-822-1260 extension 2298 or emailing helen.white@guelph.ca.  Please note: The final master plan and elements may vary from the preferred concept due to comments from the community and the detailed design process.

Question

  1. Do you have any comments on the preferred concept design?

Next steps

Resident input on the preferred concept plan will be used to create a park master plan. The master plan will be provided to City Council and posted online for information in March 2018. Park construction is expected to happen in late 2018.
