Energize Guelph launches Park Activation program

We’ve launched our Park Activation program. This summer, the Park Activation Team, made up of City of Guelph program staff, will be visiting parks throughout the community to introduce parents and children to fun, new activities and ways to use park spaces. It’s a safe and inclusive program for everyone who wants to participate.

Be on the lookout for the team starting June 6:

  • Mondays, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Margaret Greene Park (80 Westwood Road)
  • Tuesdays, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Lee Street Park (71 Lee Street)
  • Wednesdays, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Orin Reid Park (120 Goodwin Drive)
  • Thursdays, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Exhibition Park (81 London Road West)

Why the need for Park Activation?

  • To introduce children and parents to new and unique ways to use park spaces
  • To make it easier for children to get active
  • To help improve children’s physical and mental well-being
  • Because it’s fun!

Park Activation is not a child care program. In fact, we encourage parents to participate with their children—to join in on the fun and Run. Jump. Play. Everyday.
