Guelph, Ontario, December 14, 2015 – This evening, Guelph City Council voted to ratify a three-year collective agreement for the City’s part-time theatre stage employees, represented by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) LOCAL 357.
Members of the IATSE ratified the agreement after a vote this past Sunday.
“We value the work of our employees and are pleased to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement; one that is fair to Guelph’s theatre stage employees and affordable for Guelph taxpayers,” said David Godwaldt, the City’s general manager of Human Resources.
Over the three-year agreement, January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, IATSE members will receive a 1.25 per cent increase each year.
Once the agreements are formally signed by all parties, the documents will be available on the City’s website at guelph.ca/labourrelations.
