Accomplished municipal leader rejoins City as interim Solid Waste Resources manager

Guelph, ON, December 9, 2015 – The City of Guelph’s former manager of Wastewater Services, Cam Walsh, rejoins the City as the interim manager of Solid Waste Services.

“Cam’s an accomplished leader in the municipal sector; his legacy of optimizing efficient operations at Guelph’s wastewater treatment facility continues to be of value to us today,” said Scott Stewart, the City’s Deputy CAO of Infrastructure, Development and Enterprise. “Walsh has a successful track record managing a City facility with high legislative environmental compliance needs and direct experience working collaboratively with a broad range of municipal stakeholders.”

Cam Walsh led a team of 50 City staff at Guelph’s wastewater treatment facility from 2005 to 2011, worked in private sector consulting in the water and wastewater treatment field, and most recently was the project director of the City’s Parking Master Plan.

Walsh starts his one-year contract as the interim manager of Solid Waste Resources on Monday, December 14.
