Scott Stewart becomes Guelph’s new Deputy CAO of Infrastructure, Development and Enterprise Services
Guelph, Ont, November 10, 2015– Today Chief Administrative Officer Ann Pappert announced the selection of Scott Stewart as the City’s new Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Infrastructure, Development and Enterprise Services following an extensive search and evaluation of potential candidates.
“Scott is an accomplished senior municipal leader with a proven track record,” says Ann Pappert, CAO for the City of Guelph. “He is known as a consultative and collaborative leader and a champion of strong relationships with community, business and stakeholders. His experience is broad and includes transportation, planning, building, business, capital works, engineering, and waste management.”
Mr. Stewart has held a variety of senior management positions with the City of Burlington since 2009. His most recent position in Burlington was General Manager of Development and Infrastructure. He also played a key role on the leadership team responsible for the overall stewardship of the municipality.
Prior to joining the City of Burlington, Mr. Stewart spent more than 22 years in municipalities across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas including Hamilton, Peel Region, Mississauga and Brampton.
The departments at the City of Guelph under Mr. Stewart’s guidance will include Business Development and Enterprise, Engineering and Capital Infrastructure Services, Environmental Services, Planning, Urban Design and Building Services and Facilities Management.
Mr. Stewart will start at the City of Guelph on December 7, 2015.
